Google and IMAX theatres are partnering to bring cutting-edge technology to the emerging trend of virtual reality. In fact, IMAX is providing a crew of engineers and technicians that will collaborate with Google to develop a high-resolution camera to address the unique challenges presented by virtual reality. Sooner than we think, panoramic views and immersive experiences will become a big thing in every Cinema!
Ecrebo is a startup that develops software that can be used by ‘bricks and mortar’ retailers to better engage with its customers: it has just received a massive investment from a partnership which includes Air Miles and Nectar founder, Sir Keith Mills, for 12 mln pounds! The company is planning to spend this money on developing technologies for Ecrebo’s digital marketing platform and the firm’s expansion across the globe. Bright times ahead, Ecrebo!
Employers in the UK are rolling out workplace wellbeing strategies at an unprecedented rate: 45% of UK companies have a clearly-defined wellbeing strategy in place, compared to less than a third in 2016. It looks like companies are launching their wellbeing strategy to improve employee engagement and organisational culture: is wellbeing finally becoming an area of growing strategic importance?
